Art Trails Friday Sebastopol Reception: #picsoritdidnthappen

Party like it's 1876: The core preview exhibit for Sonoma Art Trails 2026 opens this weekend, Friday 11 September. This is the one annual show that features all of the Art Trails participants at one go. With that in mind, each year I've made something special for this exhibit, unexpected, as an experiment to share with other Sonoman artists. As an artist who likes to work in series, it can be a tough call: which single object to chose, that both represents the project and the exhibit guidelines?

This year, I'm sharing a key image from my American semiquincentennial project Centennial Harvest #picsoritdidnthappen, about Sonoma County life in the year 1876: the first American Centennial. We'll see how it flies!
