Writing Tips for Novice Authors

In the event you are reading this article then you certainly have asked yourself at some point in your life, “Do I have what it takes to become an author?”I think that successful authors, those who actually write And finish that novel, or book of poetry, or even that book of short tales, And see it all the way to publication, have sure characteristics.

Characteristics of Authors

1. They like to sit for hours in front of a computer screen (or with pen And paper), typing (writing) away.
2. They think about their book, even when they are not writing.
3. They are motivated to finish their book.
4. They are motivated to proofread, edit And revise their completed book until it is the best it can be.
5. They are motivated to publish their book.
6. Two times they publish the first book, they are already working on the next one.

In the event you answered yes to someone of the above, then you have a lovely chance of attaining your dreams of becoming an author. Don’t listen to those individuals who say it is a competitive market out there. Don’t listen to those individuals who say they have written four books And haven’t had one published yet.

And don’t listen to those individuals who send you back your manuscripts! Listen to yourself. Listen to that inner voice, the one that is whispering now. But wait until you start. Two times your book is written And published, that inner voice will be roaring! And the whole world will listen to about it.

I do know, I do know. I tend to be the optimist. But they have so plenty of pessimists in the book business, they sure need some more optimists around!

For you, the novice writer who would like to start writing that first book, the best way to start is to start writing. Yes, sit down And do it. Cease the other activities, the TV, the reading, the shopping, the chatting on the phone, And find the time to devote at least one hour a day to writing.

What’s one hour a day in the technique of things? It comes And goes like this, poof! What do you need to show after an hour of tv? A lazy yawn? If that same hour were spent on writing, then there would be a product in your hands, something that will be shared, hopefully, one day with others.

So, go ahead, shut the door to the remainder of the world for one hour (or more) And make yourself comfortable in front of the computer screen (or pen And paper). Let’s take the first step to becoming an author.

How To Start

Foundation like a construction company which builds a foundation to a home, you also need to prepare a foundation for your career in writing. Don’t skip this step, it is important.

Your “foundation” will consist of basic writing skills. Keep in mind those English courses you took in high school And college? In the event you don’t keep in mind anything from those courses, then it would not be a bad idea in the event you found your elderly English textbooks, dusted them off a bit, And looked through their pages to refresh your memory.

In the event you haven’t taken any courses in creative writing, you might think about signing up for one. Check along with your local community college. They often offer weekend And evening classes, And sometimes even online classes. If you are on a budget, then visit the public library And sign out books relevant to writing.

In addition, it would be useful to join a writing group (online or in your local area) that critiques your work And gives you the chance to critique also. The group provides amazing support And an avenue to sharpen your skills as you gain experience in writing, as well as exposure to other people’s writing. For example, Writing.

com is a lovely example of an online resource that provides plenty of opportunities to share your writing, And get your work rated And reviewed. In the event you need to join a critique or review group, it offers that also.

The second step to becoming an author, is to have the right tools.
Tools NeededBesides a comfortable chair, plenty of lighting, And a calm room, you will need a computer with a word processing program (e.g., Microsoft Word), a printer, And plenty of paper.

Why a computer? Initially, publishers usually will request a replica of your files sent to them on a floppy disk. More importantly, working with a word processing program will aid you in plenty of ways towards becoming a published author. It will provide the chance to save your work as a Word file, without having to make use of up tons of paper (as with a typewriter). This greatly aids you in keeping your work organized.

It also gives you the flexibility to edit And re-edit large sections of your work quickly by allowing you to utilize the copy And paste functions.

Other advantages of using a computer word processing program is that it provides spell check capabilities, And also helps you count the number of words per page. In addition, when you need to spice up your vocabulary (For example, in the event you like to make use of the word “walk” often, And are getting worn out of that word), place your cursor on the word “walk”, hit shift F7. It will give you a list of synonyms you can select from – like stroll, amble, etc.).

The time saved by using a computer is valuable. It gives you more time available to write! Of coursework, in the event you don’t have the above materials, don’t let that cease you from writing that book! Using a pen And paper is perfectly fine. Books were written with these two basic tools for hundreds of years.

Let’s assume you are using a computer And a Word processing application. Initially, before you start writing, form a subdirectory that you can add all of your chapters to. Possibly you know the title of your book already. Fine, then form a subdirectory using the name of the title. After you finish writing that first chapter (oh joy!), save it as Chapter 1 under the subdirectory. In the event you are writing a book of poetry, then you may need to save each poem as a separate file.

When I write my chapters for my novel, I format them in double space mode, with a Times New Roman 11 font. All the margins are at least one inch. This way it will be prepared for manuscript submission.
Try not to add your page numbers until the final revision. Page numbers constantly change when you’re revising, so wait until the finish.
Finally, another reason for having a computer is for Net access.

As a writer, you will have opportunities to submit your fiction online, such as http://www.Writing.com, or even your articles online for e-zines, such as http://www.articlecity.com. Any chance you can get to write online, do it. As long as it doesn’t take much time away from your book. It is as well as a free way of promoting yourself before the book is even published.

So you need to balance your time in writing that book, honing your writing skills, submitting your work along the way for others to critique, And promoting yourself. Are you able to do it? Of coursework you can!

The third step to becoming an author is:

What to Write

In the event you are planning to write a novel, it would help to know what general section your book is going to be in. Will it be in the romance, mystery, or science fiction section? In the event you don’t know, take some time And give it some thought.

Read some books in those genres. Which books appear to attract you the most? It’s highly likely that you’ll be writing in the section that you like to read. My preference is romance because I read those types of books the most. Two times you select the section, then you are closer to writing that novel!

For poetry, you might start by writing a poem And submitting it to a poetry journal, or a poetry contest. Gain exposure for your poetry. Join a critique group so you can sharpen your poetry skills. A chapbook usually consists of about 25-35 poems. For a poetry book, you’ll need at least 60 pages of poetry, if not more.

Types of Novelists

I have found over time, that there’s two types of novelists. The first type is the writer who prefers drawing up a proposal or plan of what they will write about. The second type prefers to write whatever comes in to their mind at that moment.

You select which writer you will be.

Type 1 Novelist

They start by describing the characters, their names, personalities, And sometimes their motives. Then they select when And where the setting will happen. When will it happen? If it takes place before the 1900’s, then it will be thought about historical. Also, will the setting be in the country, in a city (which city?), in a house (whose house), on a cruise ship? That needs to be defined also.

Two times those decisions are made, they write brief sketches of each chapter. It could be a page or two long. Two times all this is completed, then the actual writing begins. If this technique works for you, then feel free to make use of it. It may take some time, but you will become more confident about what you’ll write two times you go through this preliminary method.

Type 2 Novelist

What if you’re the type of one that doesn’t need to spend all that time writing proposals And character sketches? What if you’re like me, who prefers to write whatever comes in to your head? Then do it! Sit down And start writing. Write anything.

As the story develops, something amazing begins brewing in your mind. Something called creativity. I’ve caught myself hours after I completed writing a chapter, And I’ll be preparing dinner, or walking somewhere, And a scene from my novel will start to unfold. It’s called creative issue solving. My mind is working to solve the issue that the writing presents it, although I’m not actively writing. When I get those urges, I immediately cease what I’m doing And jot down my thoughts. It’s helped me plenty of times, when everything clicks together.

How Long Will It Take?

It took me two years to write And discover a publisher for my first novel, Lipsi’s Daughter. For other people, it may take longer or shorter, depending on the amount of time they permit for writing And how plenty of pages they are writing. I do know of authors that took four, three, up to twelve years to write their first book. I also know of a famous author who writes two novels a year!

So unless you start writing that first page of your book, you’ll never know how long it will take you to write it. Go ahead, make that first step, And lovely luck!

Story starters and much more

Creative writing has always been my favourite kind of writing. To be honest, I don’t like poetry or journalism. In school I done my first year of journalism only to choose I didn’t like it, there’s lots of rules.

That’s what is great about creative writing, you only have one rule; anything goes. Fundamentally the only requirement is to figure out how you’re going to write the next great novel, are you going to draft it out by outline, brainstorm, or go with the flow.

I like writing on the fly, I open up a Microsoft word document and start typing. Some people can’t do this, and require organization and structure, not me.

When I quit journalism in school, it was around that time that I also stopped writing. Sometimes life grabs you by the horns and doesn’t let you go. Years later, I felt lost or empty like I was three times missing something. Then suddenly I was three times laid off and found I had lots of time on my hands…that’s when I began to write again.

As soon as I started generating fictional characters and story-lines, I felt like my elderly self again, that I could accomplish anything. I felt like a child, who had her whole life ahead of her.

I decided to generate a web-site http://www.creative-writing-help.com, to help people like me re-discover the enjoyment of writing.

Things in your life might be stressful or not going well, but writing can help you deal with those stresses. As soon as I sit down at my computer, I use my life experience to help weave amazing tales and plots.

Currently I am in the method of getting one of my novels published, and this wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t taken up writing again.

Thanks and happy writing.

Creative Writing ?

They listen to and read the term creative writing on a regular basis, but what is it, and what’s all the fuss about? Are these tales about making money from creative writing true, or are they scams? Can someone get involved in creative writing, or is it for budding Shakespeare’s?

All are valid questions, but let’s get one thing straight before they go on: creative writing is an umbrella term that covers lots of different forms of writing.

It is not the art of writing tales, but that of drafting articles, writing commercials, reviewing products and more – creative writing is that: being creative with the written word.
All of us will have read lots of written works in the work of our lifetime: you may read a newspaper, or enjoy books, or you may subscribe to magazines about a sport or hobby that you enjoy or participate in. One thing is sure – there will be some writers whose work appeals to you over others.

This is what creative writing is all about: it’s about being you, letting your imagination and style come across in the written piece. While a journalist is limited to writing about the facts, putting the situation across, they or they still has a way with words that is very much their own; while a novelist – of any style – will write using the same words as any other, it is the way they put the words together, the way they use the sounds and the sentences to draw the picture for you that appeals.

In the event you require to get in to the creative writing lark you require to know where to start: there’s lots of creative writing clubs across the country – indeed the world – and there is likely to be one local to you. In the event you are interested then join it; you don’t must be an specialist to start with, for learning from others is something that is absolutely invaluable.

Furthermore, there’s lots of magazines for writers obtainable, , and numerous courses on the art of creative writing at colleges – for those of more youthful and more mature ages, as well. Creative writing is a way of expressing yourself, and the more you indulge, the more you enjoy.
One exercise that is very useful is this: look out of the nearest window to you right now, and write about what you see. You can select to write in plain language exactly what is there, or you can select to imagine that there is over meets the eye. This is creative writing – being able to bring a picture to life in words.

Making money from creative writing is feasible – there’s lots of outlets for articles and other forms of writing – but to start with you require to get involved: join that club, buy that journal, and enjoy yourself!

Creatively Here To Write

I used to think that I am destined to become a scientist. As I enjoyed discovering scientific pursuits, I am living by the fact that everything in this world can be explained by science. I am in the bliss of realization that not everyone else can understand what I can, unless I will discover it for the sake of humanity.

Voila! But look where I am now? I am here facing the computer, making articles for the Web, posting in a weblog, And fortunately expressing my self through a keyboard And a computer monitor (a pen And a paper appeared to be obsolete here). Writing for my own sake, And for the humanity’s possibly, is a tedious but fulfilling job. And I can still say that I am blessed because I have gone through all of these.

What is with the writing?

Writers often than not accept a kind of self-expression that is fulfilling to them. In the first place this what writing is all about—freedom of expression. As for me, I am more comfortable in the method of writing that is more personal, fascinating, And artistic to pull the attention of my readers.

But honestly, let me tell you that am not well-rounded of all these stuff And of my style in writing, put it; do I have a my own distinct style in writing? You judge by having a comment on this post.

What I meant by the phrase “not well-rounded enough” is that, I am a bit hesitant to try new things because I am usually carried away by disappointments from people. You say of this immaturity blah blahs. I agree. By now, elderly lessons ought to have been learned. And one final thing though: Creative Writing gets me in to the craft.

Let’s get to the point.

As defined by wikipedia, Creative Writing is thought about to be any writing, fiction, poetry, or non-fiction, that goes outside the bounds of normal professional, journalistic, academic, And technical forms of literature. Works which fall in to this section include novels, epics, short tales, And poems.

Why select this type of medium?

With all the political, social, And economic fuss unfolding the whole earth everyday, would you not require to divert your attention in to the distinct point of view of J.K.Rowling, J.R.R. Tolkien, or Stephenie Meyer? I do know plenty of us has gone mad if not crazy to make this world a calm And a happy place to live. You count me in, And I assure you I’d float with the air than catch below all the dust that it carries.

To divert our attention means, they are opening new frontiers of our being human And finally refreshing our minds so that the next time they face the issue they can confront it with a new knowledge And understanding; that they are only humans, hesitant And afraid of our own world but brave to overcome it. As Edgar Allan Poe, the most regarded writer in American literature said “all that they see or appear is but a dream within a dream.”

So the next time you are awfully confronted by the world, I recommend you to write your thoughts And ideas, as creatively as you can—you would not know, you might be penning the next classic story ever told. And this will finally help you overcome your self And teach you lessons that can only be found as you go along together with your selected medium of expression.
Where to write your Creative Writing piece?

The Web is a lovely medium to flaunt what a lovely writer you are. But as you delve in to it, you will discover a massive source of knowledge And I tell you it will hit you in the face massive time. This is otherwise known as information overload. But what if all this information is capsulized And sprinkled with creative contexts And finally packaged for the readers to feast on? This is fascinating.

Now it is your chance to try the mainstream Web. There’s numerous sites in cyber space that will lead you in posting your articles, write-ups And artistic blobs. And incidentally, you can earn additional bucks if you are dedicated to maintain what you have started.

Perhaps, you can grab the know-how And set aside that you are destined to become a scientist, like what I did.

Teach Creative Writing With These 5 Steps

Teaching creative writing to children is fun and rewarding. Children naturally love to here tales read to them. As parents plenty of times our children fall to sleep while being read to. Teachers can build a stimulating creative writing program in the classroom by giving the children a desire to write. Here are 5 steps to start a creative writing program.

1. Tiny beginnings. Start out by finding common topics to the children in the room. Parents, grandparents and pets are usually nice examples. Have the scholars write 5 sentences about the topic. These can fictional and in story form.

2. Dictation. You can receive a tape recorder and one after the other let the scholars dictate a narrative to you. You might find it simpler to do without a tape recorder in the event you can write or type speedy . On another day you or the kid can read the story out loud to the class. This helps the scholars start to make a connection with hearing tales and making them up.

3. Word processor. Children take to computers very quickly and most of your students are probably already familiar with them. If feasible have them start typing their tales on a computer as soon as feasible. Using a word processor is much simpler than writing by hand and so the writing will be simpler. At first do not be concerned with grammar, punctuation and spelling. After awhile you can gradually start showing the scholars how to make capital letters and use some of the grammar and spelling tools offered in most word processors.

4. Idea box. Bring a tiny box to class and tell the scholars that this box is only for ideas for tales. Let them know that others in the class will also have access to their story ideas so they may also need their own “idea boxes.”

5. Characters. Help the children come up with fascinating characters in their writing. Show them tales from authors who are strong on character development. Make the main character likable. An author I am liking is Louis L’Amour. All of his main characters have high moral values and make honest choices. Of work they get the girl and are specialist at everything they do.

Teaching creative writing to children can appear overwhelming at first but when taken in tiny steps it is not as challenging. Start with basic tales and then work the children through ideas then in to character development. There’s other more advanced steps like plot development, editing and publishing but this will get these suggestions will help them start.

A writing lesson plan can be hard for an English teacher to generate if he or he is not a writer themselves. Inscription is a immense part of teaching the English language, but not every teacher is a natural born writer, even in the event that they know the language well.

Teachers of this variety often need assistance preparing for this creative part of the class. While simple sentences And such are simple to plan for it is when the scholars move on to tougher aspects that educators might need some reinforcement.

Of coursework, teachers cannot basically skip every writing lesson plan because it is not their strong suit, in lieu they must find resources that will at least help them plan well for the class sessions that are upcoming.

One of the best ways for teachers to do this is to make use of a template that will walk them through the class with ease. Templates can be simple to make use of And are often a “fill in the blank” type format based on the subject that is being prepared for. Teachers that do not favor the creative method can get through this portion of the coursework by having a streamlined day planned And having it all in plain view for themselves.

A writing lesson plan can also come fully prepared so that the teacher can basically open their computer And teach. This can be lovely when a teacher is at a loss on how to approach a specific topic or desires to try something new together with his or her students.

Plenty of of these lesson designs can be offered in a “plug And play” variety where educators can literally plug in their computer And the program will play so that they And their students can be guided through the coursework basically. This type of program is great if there will be a substitute, if the teacher is under the weather, or needs a break from the planning processes involved in schooling.

Most students will admit that they like the idea of their teachers using a computer to provide them with a writing lesson plan. Any time the computer is used in the classroom students will likely perk up And pay attention. Plenty of students think that this subject can often be uninteresting And is far from technical, but with the introduction of the computer students will see that a computer can be used together with any subject, in any classroom all over the world.

Of coursework, the people behind the products at

http://www.lessonplans.com.au would agree that computers have a place in every classroom. This might not be more evident with their immense choice of computer programs that provide educators with templates or done designs.

Any teacher that is looking for a way to spruce up their classroom surroundings will love this net site, their products, And excellent service! Teachers that are developing the minds of young writers are not the only ones that will benefit from this net site, in fact, there’s programs available to educators that teach all subjects including arithmetic, science, geography, And English as a second language.

Creative Writing Made Easy With So Many Choices

Creativity comes out of your right brain and is often overshadowed by your left brain which is logical and analytical. It is your job to find ways to tap into your right brain so you can get to the creativity and tap into your inner author. The right brain likes fun, games, music, laughter, being spontaneous to name just a few things that appeal to the right brain.

Use the right brain activities to help you tap into your ability to write so you can have fun while you are writing your content. It will change your thinking about writing and allow you to experience being able to write easily.

Writing is one of the most fun things you can do to record your ideas, stories, adventures and happenings in your life. You are able to write from your own perspective and share with others how you are moving through the events in your life. You can never know how many others can benefit from your approach and problem solving abilities.

Often we never consider that how we solved a situation might help someone else. I am always surprised at the thank your I get from other people when I share. Underestimating our influence on others can keep you from thinking that what you might say is important and that often leads to not sharing.

If you could just have an idea that what and how much of what you share could help and impact others it might be easier to sit down and write out your story. Someone somewhere might have made you feel that your ideas were not of value to others so if that is what happened, it might be harder to share your ideas. Consider that those people are not able to continue to keep you from writing if you really want to share your thoughts. I would encourage you to begin and see if you can put your ideas down on paper. I laugh when people talk but do not want to write. I guess they think that if it is said and someone challenges them they can deny it but if it is in writing they can’t.

The best thing to do if you are nervous that someone might criticize your work is write it down and put it on your shelf. At least you will have it in writing so you can enjoy it. Then at some time if you want to share with others you can. If it really is hard for you to share your work, write under a pen name and that way you will be out of the picture for people to fuss at.

I learned to write from my mother who was an extraordinary teacher. She made it so much fun to communicate with words that I grew up enjoying every area that had to do with writing especially if there was a creative twist to it. I feel fortunate to have that kind of relationship with language. I appreciate stories, good articles and books. Along the way, I have been able to share with others my joy of writing and creativity.

Should You Attend a Creative Writing MFA Program?

Here’s the scenario: You have always desired to become a writer and have thought about getting a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in creative writing but aren’t sure in case you require to invest the time and funds.
The query: Ought to I apply for an MFA program in creative writing?
The answer: It depends.

In lieu of leaving it there, let’s examine this in detail and see if they can work through a method for making a lovely decision about whether or not an MFA program is best for you.Creative writing (both fiction and inventive non-fiction) is something that lots of of us require to do well, and if they can get paid for it, a lot the better.

While an MFA in creative writing is not necessary for success as a writer, focused study of the art and craft of writing will help most people. Of work, as I write this, there is a minority of writers – some with MFAs – who will say that an MFA program will hurt sure writers and detrimentally alter their specific style or creative uniqueness.

While that may be true in a few cases, as a rule, most of us would benefit from focused training and awareness of writing that will come as part of an MFA program. An MFA program is a huge investment in time (2-5 years depending on full or part-time attendance, and whether it is a traditional or low-residence program), and in funds (from ,000 – ,000 for most programs).

In order to figure out if an MFA program is best for you, you require to seriously think about what your final aim as a writer is. For example, an MFA in creative writing will benefit any writer in six ways:

1. It will make you feel like a writer and identify yourself as a writer. (This may well be the most important thing an MFA program can do for a writer.)

2. You will have time to write, and you will in fact have outside and internal deadlines imposed on you – you will must produce material.

3. You will learn to give and get well thought out criticism of a piece of poetry, fiction or creative non-fiction (depending on your program orientation).

4. Your writing will improve – in case you work at it – because you will focus on improving your skill as a writer and will get continuous, close feedback on the way you are crafting specific work.

5. You will likely make some contacts through the program that may help you in submitting polished work, and, if this is your aim, finding employment in teaching or publishing.

Thus, most MFA programs will improve your writing and will give you a “terminal degree” that will let you either teach creative writing or work in publishing. A terminal degree means that the MFA is the accepted top-degree in the field of “creative writing”, and is the degree you require to teach at the college and university level.

While there’s a lot of programs offering Ph.Ds in creative writing, the MFA is the mainstay and you don’t require a doctorate to teach or find employment. All of the above are lovely things, and I would not require to speak somebody out of going down the MFA route if that is what they require, but if your aim in not academia or publishing work, then an MFA may not be the right route for you.

There’s as lots of (or more) successful writers without MFAs as there’s with MFAs. Now, let’s examine some other routes to improving your writing that do not lead to MFA degrees.

First, you require to examine critically, and as objectively as feasible, where your specific level of writing is at, and what your weaknesses are. This critical self-assessment will let you work to find training and mentorship outside of an MFA program to improve your skills. Options to improve your writing are lots of, but a few are:

Reading books on craft. Attending short workshops and classes (either online or in person). Attending a work in writing (this can be at a local college, community middle, or a writing middle.) Finding a mentor who is a more experienced writer or an editor. Joining or forming a critique group (this can be online or in person). Write a lot and try and improve with each piece you write.

Let’s face it, MFA programs are expensive and they take time. But for some, they offer the structure and the time needed to improve your writing and reach your goals. However, in case you have a modicum of self-discipline and the internal fortitude to critically evaluate your weaknesses, you can design a program of seminars, conferences, and classes to make similar improvements that you would in an MFA program.

Graduation from an MFA program does not guarantee success, but no creative endeavors does. An MFA program (and I caveat this with saying, a “good MFA program”) will offer a pre-travelled path to improve your writing and gain the confidence and contacts to get you started as a writer. That said, in the finish, you still must sit down and write. An MFA program won’t do this for you.

You require to get your butt in the stool and put words down on paper or up on your computer screen. In the finish, the decision on attending an MFA program or working by yourself to improve your writing is a individual one. Every writers situation will be different. However, with some focused thought and self-analysis, you can make the decision that is best for you.

Creative Writing Ideas

In case you love to write, thinking of creative writing ideas ought to be simple . Sometimes it is, but other times you get trapped by writer’s block. Most often, writer’s block stops you while you are writing something, possibly an editorial or novel, and you can’t think of what to write next. This is writer’s block, but sometimes you require ideas on what to write in the first place. A lack of ideas can get you stuck in your tracks when you require to start writing.

In case you require some creative writing ideas and like fiction, you ought to try your hand at some short tales. Even in case you come up with an idea that you think is dumb, give it a try and write. If it doesn’t work out, it won’t be so bad because it was only a short story and didn’t take you a long time . You might find that the dull idea you came up with turned in to a amazing story.

For specific ideas, search around you. Pay attention to people around you. Listen to their conversations. If it’s fascinating, possibly you could write about it? Pick a surrounding you are familiar with, possibly at school, work, or a favourite location and build a narrative around it. Pick a park you go to often and write a whole story about it. You could use the people you meet and know as your characters, or only use their situations. It is your choice.

What about your dreams? In case you dream often and can keep in mind your dreams, think about the way you could make a narrative out of them . In case you have odd dreams and love to write fantasy or sci-fi, this might be great for you. You could write down your dream word for word and then add to it. Or, you could find one idea from it. Possibly a character, idea, or tiny event will pop in to your head because of a dream you had.

Think about what happens to you and what has happened to you historicallyin the past in your life. In case you keep a diary or journal, read through it and see in case you can find some ideas. In case you don’t keep a journal, start keeping a journal for ideas in the future. It is a amazing . Look back at the most amusing or most fascinating thing that has ever happened to you and write it in to a narrative. In case you think your life is filled with drama, possibly it is filled with drama to make an fascinating dramatic story.

In case you ever run out of creative writing ideas, all you require to do is look around. Give yourself some time and you will think of something. Even in case you start an idea that you don’t like, you might think of a better one in the method. Even in case you already have an idea, when new ones comes to mind , write them down for future tales and projects. You will thank yourself. Whatever you select, keep writing.
